Introduction
In "The Practice of Adaptive Leadership, Heifetz, Grashow, and Linsky define "Adaptive Leadership" as the practice of mobilizing people to not only survive difficult challenges but thrive. "Thriving" in this sense means growing, improving, capitalizing on the change.
This site includes an example of an Adaptive Leadership case. The situation described is real and took place during the month of June 2010. Some of the names were changed to protect privacy.
