Produce Short-Term Wins
Producing short-term wins means helping the members experience some success quickly. If Linked:HR members experience the new interface without a problem on a smaller scale, they will be less likely to resist to the proposed changes.
Fortunately, the new interface has already been implemented in some of the Linked:HR subgroups (such as, for instance, the OD & Training Forum). A key ally at this stage is the Group Leader the OD & Training Forum, Ms. "Mary Jones" (name changed). Dr. Wildermuth could secure Ms. Jones' support and pilot some initiatives in her Subgroup first.
Increasing member comfort with the new interface, however, is only half the battle. As seen in the "current culture" section, part of the problem lies in the mistrust between "vendors" and "internal HR professionals." A possible "short-term win" could result from the scheduling of a panel (or webinar) including members of these two groups.
